This Privacy Policy explains how DreamThreads handles information when you use the dream journal and interpretation service at mydreamthreads.xyz (the “Service”). Dreams can be intimate. We treat dream text, reading preferences, and account information as sensitive personal information and limit how they are used.
DreamThreads lets you write a dream, choose an optional interpretive lens, and receive a reflective reading. When you click Interpret, your dream text and reading preferences are sent to DreamThreads’ server and then to OpenRouter so a model can generate the interpretation. If you use audio input, the recording is sent to DreamThreads’ server and then to OpenAI to create a transcript that you can edit before submitting. If you are signed in, DreamThreads stores your journal in our database so it can sync across devices. If you are not signed in, interpreted dreams are saved in your browser’s local storage unless you later import them into an account.
DreamThreads uses OpenRouter to route dream text and reading preferences to a language model for interpretation. Audio recordings are sent to OpenAI only to create a transcript. Do not submit information you do not want processed by an AI provider. DreamThreads does not use your dream text to target ads, and we do not intentionally send dream text or your specific lens to Meta or other advertising networks.
DreamThreads uses essential cookies or similar technologies to keep you signed in and to remember your privacy choice. Browser local storage may hold unsigned-in journal entries, reading preferences, and your analytics consent setting. The base Meta Pixel is installed for basic page-view measurement, and additional Meta advertising events are sent only if you allow ad measurement. You can change a prior browser choice by clearing site data for mydreamthreads.xyz or by contacting us.
DreamThreads collects limited product events to understand whether the Service works and to measure advertising. Analytics events use coarse properties such as dream length bucket, whether a lens was present, and whether an interpretation succeeded. They do not include dream text, the actual lens value, notes, generated readings, or journal entries.
If you consent, DreamThreads may share limited advertising events with Meta through the Pixel and Conversions API. Meta may treat this as “sharing” for cross-context behavioural advertising under some privacy laws. You can decline this tracking in the consent banner.
We do not sell your personal information. We use service providers to operate DreamThreads:
If you opted in, DreamThreads may send occasional product updates or reflections. You can unsubscribe using the link in an email or by contacting rahim@mydreamthreads.xyz.
Signed-in journal entries are kept while your account is active. Unsigned-in entries remain in your browser until you delete them, clear site data, or import them into an account. If you delete your account, account dreams are deleted with it. We may keep limited records where needed for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or backups.
DreamThreads uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, including encryption in transit, hashed passwords, access controls, server-side API keys, and rate limiting. No internet service can promise perfect security.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information. You may also withdraw consent where processing depends on consent. To make a request, email rahim@mydreamthreads.xyz. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
California residents may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, and opt out of sale or sharing of personal information, and to limit certain uses of sensitive personal information. DreamThreads does not sell dream content. If consented Meta advertising measurement is considered sharing, you can opt out by declining tracking or clearing site data and choosing “Only what’s necessary” when the banner appears.
DreamThreads and its providers may process information in the United States, Canada, and other countries. Those countries may have different privacy laws from where you live. Where required, we rely on appropriate transfer safeguards.
DreamThreads is not directed to children under 16. Do not use the Service if you are under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
We may update this Privacy Policy as DreamThreads changes. The updated version will be posted here with a new effective date.
