Editorial standards

Useful reflection requires visible limits.

This policy governs DreamThreads’ public dream meaning guides. It explains how we separate evidence, interpretation, and personal judgment.

01

Context before certainty

We do not publish universal predictions. Interpretive language is presented as a possibility to explore, and the dreamer’s emotions, associations, and waking circumstances remain central.

02

Evidence is labeled

Empirical claims link to the underlying paper or an authoritative clinical source. A study about a group is not presented as a diagnosis or a rule for one person.

03

Traditions stay distinct

Religious and cultural lenses are not blended into a generic mystical answer. They are framed as traditions with internal diversity, never as binding rulings.

04

AI is a tool, not an authorial credential

AI may assist research organization and drafting. A human editor selects topics, checks sources, shapes the final language, and is responsible for what is published.

05

Safety outranks symbolism

Persistent nightmares, pain, trauma-related sleep disruption, or urgent distress are not treated as SEO opportunities. We encourage appropriate professional support and do not substitute interpretation for care.

06

Pages are maintained

Every guide shows its review date. Material errors are corrected promptly; changes in evidence or product behavior trigger a new review.

07

Source hierarchy

For scientific claims, we prefer peer-reviewed primary research and established sleep-medicine organizations. We use secondary sources to understand a field, not to inflate a claim. Search trends help prioritize what people are asking; they do not determine what an answer says.

Interpretive sections are explicitly framed as prompts. When research is preliminary, limited, correlational, or based on a narrow sample, we say so.

08

Corrections and contact

If you find a factual error, a broken source, or language that misrepresents a tradition, email rahim@mydreamthreads.xyz with the page URL and concern. Substantive corrections update the reviewed date.
